It gives me the great pleasure to launch the new website of the college. Our college was among the first few in the University of Delhi to be on the net in 2004 and it coincided with the extension of Metro from the East to the North-western part of the city. That’s why we highlighted the easier access to the college located almost on Metro’s Red line.
Every website in those days was a company of sorts with domain names invariably ending with a dot com. Since then national identities have re-emerged within the anonymity of Internet. Hence the new name ending with dot in. I hope the new site will provide better content and resources at the click of a mouse than ever before. Many more things have changed. Having organized several national seminars, the college is far better known than in the past. Prizes and trophies won in inter-college competitions have been flowing in regularly-from sports, debates and declamations, dance and music to gardening.
Newer courses have been introduced and there are more in the pipeline. The infrastructure is also improving with a brand new computer lab already functioning and schemes of renovation and expansion of existing building are in advanced stage of implementation. The college faculty has been strengthened with new, young and talented faces who are desperate to prove themselves. Students reveal in infectious energy and enthusiasm and are determined to reach higher targets. In short, there is an optimism in the air and impatience to achieve.
There is a Chinese proverb suggesting that those who move go places. We too are constantly striving to grow not just in terms of numbers but also, of quality. I share the resolve of my colleagues to make our institution better with each passing day. The new website is only a modest step in that direction.
With best wishes,
Dr. G. P. Agarwal,
