Financial Aid & Scholarship

 
FINANCIAL AID & ASSISTANCE
 
(a)  Fee Concession :
Financial Assistance to deserving and meritorious students is given in the form of fee concessions and stipends. Students desirous of getting fee concession should apply to the college office on the prescribed form available from the college office on the date to be notified. The continuation of fee concession and stipends depends upon the good conduct and satisfactory performance in the examination. Failure to show satisfactory performance, either in terms of academic results or discipline might lead to withdrawal of concessions and stipends.

(b)  Students' Aid Fund :

The College has established a Student's Aid Fund for the benefit of students. The object of the Fund is to render financial assistance to deserving students to meet their tuition or examination fee or to purchase books.

(c)  SC/ST Scholarship :

Students belonging to Scheduled Caste / Tribe etc. recognized by the Government of India as such are allowed scholarship by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. Such students are required to apply on the prescribed application form within a notified period to the Directorate of Education, Delhi through the College.
 
(d)  Railway Concession :
 
This is available to the students proceeding to join parents at the home town from the college and back during vacations. For this purpose, permanent hometown address declared in the admission form is final. It must be clearly understood that the railway concession facilities cannot be extended for visiting places of relatives / excursion. Any change of address must be intimated directly by the parents as soon as such change takes place. Request for change of address must be supported by documentary proof / evidence.
 
SCHOLARSHIP 7 PRIZES
 
(a)  Academic Prize :

Academic Prizes are awarded class-wise and subject-wise to students on the basis of their results in the annual examination.
 
(b) Shri Sunder Lal Rohtagi and Smt. Roopwati Rohatgi   Memorial Prizes :
 
Three prizes of Rs. 250/- each to be awarded annually to the toppers of B.Com.(H),  B.Com.(P) and B.A.(P) Final Year. These Prizes are instituted by Sh. B.B. Rohagi in the fond memory of his parents.
 
(c) Smt. Lilawati Bhatia Memorial Prizes  :
 
These prizes are of the value of Rs. 500/- given to the students of B.A. (P) I, II and III year who secured highest marks (not less than 60%) in the office Management & Secretarial Practice Course. These prizes are instituted  by Dr. R. C. Bhatia of the Department of Commerce in the loving memory of his mother.  
 
 (d) Km. Kanika Gupta Memorial Prizes :

These prizes are of the value of Rs. 500/- given to the students securing highest marks in B.Com.(Hons.) I year and II year examinations. These prizes are instituted  by Dr. R. L. Gupta of the Department of Commerce in the loving memory of his daughter Km. Kanika Gupta. 
 
(e) Sports  Prizes :
Sports prizes are awarded to the outstanding sportsperson every year subject to attainment of the minimum standards laid down for the purpose.
